Picnics, lunches and snacks at Exmoor House

Going to be out in the wilds all day? You may have had a good breakfast, but you'll probably need something to keep you going until dinner. Take one of our lovely picnic lunches with you - or if you fancy something lighter, maybe just a sandwich (made with our own bread of course), Frank's granola bar or some soup.

We'll also fill a flask with tea or coffee for you if you like and you are welcome to borrow one of our Thermos flasks if you haven't brought your own.

If you're feeling a bit peckish during the afternoon, we normally have some home-made cake or scones available, or maybe our delicious teacakes (as well as tea, coffee and other drinks, of course).

Arriving after dinner time on your first night, or prefer not to have a full meal in the evening? Ask about a late supper.

Lunch at Exmoor House

If you'd like to eat here at lunchtime during your stay, we can provide (for example) soup, sandwiches, ploughman's lunches and so on - please book a couple of days beforehand if you'd like lunch on the day you arrive.

For four or more people, and for people who are not staying here, advance booking is essential. It is possible to book our dining room at lunch time for exclusive use by small groups; see the special events page for more information.

Summer on Exmoor

July, August and September are the season of festivals and fairs, so if you're visiting Exmoor in the next couple of months, why not join in the festivities? Visit our events page for some ideas.

But if it's peace and tranquillity you're after, then Exmoor National Park has that in abundance, too.
